Housing

Affordable Housing is a major issue for everyone who lives in Canada. Previous federal governments have blamed our housing crisis on “greedy” home builders, businesses and everything else under the sun except their own actions as elected officials.

The Liberal/NDP alliance is spending billions more of your tax dollars to build more housing, some allocated to whomever they deem worthy. This is in addition to the previous billions spent since 2017 with no measurable results.

How big is this problem? On the housing supply side the CHMC outlines housing unit production at 240,267 in 2023. We are now up to 1 million residents per year moving to Canada. How can affordable housing even exist when supply and demand are so severely imbalanced?

The People’s Party of Canada has an elegant solution. Reducing immigration numbers below housing production drops the demand, which reduces pricing pressures without government interference. Simple economics that uses no taxpayer dollars.
